Utah College of Chiropractic Orthopedics

Objectives:

  1. To establish minimum educational and clinical standards in the specialty of chiropractic orthopedics.
  2. To determine that candidates desiring certification, recertification and accreditation by the IANM (International Academy of Neuromusculoskeltal Medicine) and its affiliates and/or equivalents have satisfied requisites of professional education and experience as stated in these Codes, Rules and Procedures in force at the time of application.
  3. To assist as needed in helpting develop certifying examinations and recertifying examinations and accreditation activities consistent with the prevailing trends in specialty practice.
  4. To cooperate with IANM certifying examinations for the purpose of evaluating all candidates for their proficiency in chiropractic orthopedics.
  5. To encourage certification and MOC Maintenance of Credential with the IANM
  6. To provide avenues for recertification and accreditation for all interested.
  7. To protect in every proper and reasonable way the professional welfare and interest of the Diplomates of the IANM.
  8. To promote, encourage and educate the public in the benefits, wisdom and advantages of using a chiropractic orthopedist and neuromusculoskeletal specialist.
